This topic covers the alerting icon. It will show you how to receive automatic alerts and create your own manual alerts
We estimate that this will take 2 minutes to complete.
Your administrator can configure alerting rules. When conditions are fulfilled
a notification is briefly displayed on your screen at the top, right-hand side. Alerts can only be triggered for aircraft in your fleet, not for other
Your administrator can also configure if an alert rule is activated or not, as well as the parameters that cause an alert. For example, an alerting rule could be configured that is activated when an aircraft is cruising below flight level 150.
If you are consistently getting too many alerts and the trigger conditions for those alerts are wrong, then please contact your system administrator in the first instance (not NAVBLUE).
This is an example of an automatic alert.
Responding to Alerts
Notification messages are only shown for five seconds. Clicking on the notification content displays the panel of details for the aircraft in alert. Clicking anywhere out of the message in the notification closes the notification.
Although five seconds sounds like a very short time to respond to the notification message, the aircraft will also be shown in the content list in either the warning or tracked categories, depending on the specifics of the alert. The content list is your primary method of getting to the "aircraft in alert" details.
During the alert validity (alert not yet closed), it is possible to acknowledge the alert by clicking on the tick icon.
The alert can be consulted in the panel of details. When the alert condition in not met anymore, the alert is closed but still consultable in the panel of details.
