1       Introduction

Desk Assignments

This topic shows how administrators assign aircraft to a specific user account that are "owned" by the desk.

We estimate that this will take 2 minutes to complete.

Assigning Aircraft

This topic shows you how as an administrator you can assign aircraft to another N-Tracking user account.  Assigning aircraft to a user means that they appear in "My fleet" section of the aircraft list for that user when they are actively flying. Only administrators can see all N-Tracking users and all aircraft. By assigning aircraft to users you give them focus on the tails they are tracking and will be visible on the map with a different color.

Your five aircraft visible on the map.

A list of assigned aircraft available for this user. In this example we have five aircraft assigned.

The current color for "My Fleet" is the default color used, this can be changed by going to "Custom Colors". For more information look at the "Custom Colors" learning topic.

Desk assignment gives you access to all the current users and aircraft registrations. In this example we can see four users. None of the aircraft have been assigned yet. Let's go ahead and assign some aircraft.

You can see here that we are currently signed in as afr_demo which has admin rights. If you don't have admin rights it would look like the following:

This is the list of the aircraft registrations.

Interaction 1 Click the Unassigned tab.

The unassigned tab will tell you the number of unassigned aircraft. Currently there are no assigned aircraft to any user at the moment, so the unassigned number will match the "All" aircraft list until you assign an aircraft. Let's go and assign some aircraft.

To view your assigned aircraft turn on "My Fleet" by using the slider. You will be able to see the number of aircraft that can be viewed.

As you can see there are two out of the six assigned aircraft that are in flight that can be seen in the list. The other four aircraft are not currently in flight so will not be seen.

We are logged in as afr_demo so we will only see those aircraft assigned to afr_demo in "My Fleet" not to any other user.
